At Palmetto Basketball Association our coaching staff is the foundation of our success. With a passion for youth development, elite basketball training, and mentorship, our coaches are dedicated to helping student-athletes reach their full potential—both on and off the court.
Blake Walker
Blake Walker serves as the Director of Operations and Head Coach for the Class of 2030 team at Palmetto Pride, bringing extensive experience in AAU basketball, player development, and youth sports leadership across South Carolina.
A former standout at Wilson High School in Florence, South Carolina, Blake earned opportunities to compete at the collegiate level following graduation. He ultimately chose to focus on academics, demonstrating his commitment to long-term success both on and off the court.
Blake holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Science from Coastal Carolina University and an Associate of Applied Science from Greenville Technical College. He currently works as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, giving him a unique advantage in athlete performance, injury prevention, and strength development—key components in elite youth basketball training.
Experienced AAU Basketball Coach in SC
At just 27 years old, Blake brings over seven years of experience coaching AAU and travel basketball, specializing in developing young athletes in the Pee Dee region of South Carolina and surrounding areas. His coaching philosophy focuses on building strong fundamentals, basketball IQ, and confidence in every player.
Continuing a Legacy of Youth Basketball Development
Basketball runs deep in Blake’s family. His parents previously led the Palmetto Pride program from 2009 to 2011. After a 12-year hiatus, Blake and his family reintroduced and rebranded the organization with a renewed vision to provide high-quality youth basketball opportunities for aspiring athletes.
